On September 1, the government reopened Kotoka International Airport to international passenger traffic, after five months of closure.

This also meant that all travelers arriving in Ghana by air must undergo a PCR test 72 hours prior to boarding.

At home, passengers are also expected to pay $ 150 (¢ 868) for another Covid-19 test after landing.

Today at The Lockdown, the host, Emefa Apawu and her guests are discussing the problems related to the reopening of the airports.

Joining the host is the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Oko Boye, and the Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited, Yaw Kawkaw.
