Bechem United owner Kingsley Owusu Achiaw has proposed a quarterly meeting of Ghana Football Association stakeholders for members to discuss Ghana football issues.
Agama, as he is popularly known in football circles, said this will ensure that the Ghana Football Association is transparent in its activities and will also inform and seek ideas from relevant stakeholders on how to develop and commercialize the game.
He explained that the stakeholders could consist of three members from the Ghana Football Association, the Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA), the Ghana Referees Association (RAG) and the media.
“In my opinion, on a quarterly basis the GFA, GHALCA, the referees and the media should designate three people from each group to meet and discuss the issues that affect the game and the measures to promote it.
“Through this, the media can send a good message to the public to also promote the Ghana soccer brand and image. When it happens this way, it will help secure GFA patronage.
“The FA should try to make the audited accounts available to the public every quarter so that those who invest their money in gambling have some hope.
“Soccer is a very big business and we have a lot of prominent people doing soccer and we should hold the game in high regard,” he added.
Agama also advised the GFA president not to see anyone as opposition, but to ensure unity within the football fraternity to achieve the necessary success.
