Congress approved a new allocation structure for senior Ghana FA officials at today’s meeting held at the Ghana Soccer Center of Excellence, Prampram.

The association’s highest decision-making body approved the recommendation of the Ad-hoc Compensation Committee on the structure of allowances and bonuses for the president, vice president and members of the Executive Council of Ghana FA.

The president, Kurt Okraku, will now receive a monthly allocation of 12,000 GHS compared to that of Kwesi Nyantakyi, who increased the figure to 4,388 GHS from 1,800 GHS in 2018.

The vice president, Mark Addo, would be at GHS 7,000 compared to the former vice president who received GHS 3,494.

Mark Addo’s allocation for four years will be GHC 336, 0000, or $ 60,000

Current members of the Executive Council have their allocations from GHS 2261 to GHS 4000 doubled.

About meeting allowance

The president will take home GHS 1600 compared to the previous president Kwasi Nyantakyi who took GHS 1488.58

The vice president will also be paid GHS 1400 as a meeting allowance as this will see an increase from GHS 1322.28.

Members of the Executive Council will receive GHS 1300 from the previous GHS 1228.

Despite the rejection of some members of the association, notably Alhaji Karim Grunsah, owner of the Ghanaian Premier League King Faisal Babes, the majority in Congress approved it.

He proposed that Ghc 1000 be paid to the president of the FA, as well as that allocations for the Executive Council be eliminated.
