At a time when Sarkodie and Shatta Wale’s meat took on a different dimension when Shatta Wale described Sarkodie as ‘poor’, it’s one of the most interesting moments in show business that fans can never forget.

Ghana’s Rap King, Sarkodie himself can’t forget it, as he attests in an exclusive interview on VLADTV, saying that Shatta, his ‘brother’, has his take on the show business.

According to Sarkodie, Shatta’s approach is based on controversy because he feels it sells better than having a clean brand.

The multi-award winning rapper also admitted that he understands Shatta Wale’s approach even though he has his own ‘clean’ brand and may not agree, but he has to love Wale for who he is.

Despite the Shatta controversy, Sarkodie believes the industry has changed as Shatta Wale creates it, it gives the media something to talk about.

According to Sarkodie, Shatta Wale’s intention to say he was ‘poor’ was not actually a dispute as many fans thought, rather, it was Shatta Wale’s way of selling Ghanaian music while the two had a conversation about how to push the progress of the industry like that of Nigerian acts.

As for that, they weren’t really grudgingly, they were selling their music through Shatta Wale’s approach to creating controversy and it was a hit.

No wonder he laughed after talking about why Shatta Wale always calls him poor.
