Inter manager Antonio Conte could have Arturo Vidal at his disposal in the near future with reports that the Chilean is in talks to terminate his contract with Barcelona.

The Italian has never hidden his admiration for the 33-year-old, although the Nerazzurri were unable to close a deal last summer.

That hasn’t stopped Conte from asking about Vidal again, and it looks like that wish will soon come true, as Sport Mediaset reports that talks with Barcelona on contract termination are ongoing.

The new Barcelona coach, Ronald Koeman, has made it clear that the Chilean is not part of his plans for the future and, therefore, he is expected to leave the Camp Nou in one way or another.

Currently, the Blaugrana hope to receive a transfer fee knowing full well that Inter want to sign Vidal, but all signs point to the midfielder being fired from this contract.

Vidal also expects to receive a small payment, so it is unclear how long the talks will last.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that the Chilean and Inter have already agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third party that would pay the midfielder 6 million euros per season.
