Legendary Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, popularly known by his stage name “KK Fosu”, has apologized to fans for not giving the best performances on the first night of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The multi-award-winning artist’s performance last night was met with mixed reactions on social media with some saying that KK Fosu failed to live up to the expectations of his fans.
But the “Anadwo Ye De” hitmaker has explained the reasons for his poor performance at yesterday’s award ceremony.
“Honestly, I struggled during my performance at the awards last night and this was due to a demonstration that I participated in last Wednesday.
“I led a demonstration against the deplorable state of the roads in my hometown” Mangoase “in Akuapem North. I lost my voice later and that did affect my performance yesterday,” he said.
KK Fosu apologized to the organizers, Charterhouse, and promised to do better next time.
Last night, VGMA witnessed some exciting performances from artists like Eno Barony, Sista Afia, Quamina MP, among others.
