The leader and standard-bearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has called the New Patriotic Party’s manifesto for the 2020 elections progressive.
According to him, the ruling party’s manifesto is what Ghana needs for its development.
“I will say that the manifesto is good, it is progressive and it is what this country needs to develop. Although I am a competitor in this election, when something is good in my opponent I will say so, ”she said on the Starr FM Hot<2MASCULINE> on Friday.
He added: “Your promise to build an airport on Cape Coast is good. I think it is good that all the regional capitals of the country have an airport ”.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) has promised to build a port and airport in the Central Cape Coast Region capital in case Ghanaians renew their mandate to run the country’s affairs for a second term.
The standard bearer’s running mate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who revealed this at the launch of the Party’s 2020 Manifesto in Cape Coast underscored the importance of an airport and said it was critical to boosting tourism and development in the Region.
“For the people of Cape Coast, I have good news for you, we are building a new port on Cape Coast and a new airport on Cape Coast. It is very important that we do it, ”he announced.
“An airport makes a lot of sense on Cape Coast. It is a real tourist center and between Greater Accra and Kumasi, you have a triangle that is really a center for economic activities, you can build railway lines between them and it is a great growth pole if we put an airport here to boost the growth of the infrastructure. ” He explained.
