National Democratic Congress (NDC) standard bearer John Dramani Mahama has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Hohoe Municipal Hospital to fight the new coronavirus disease.
The donation, which includes 30 pieces of wellies, a box of hand gloves, and 28 coats overall, was to increase the hospital’s effort in fighting the disease.
Professor Margaret Kweku, NDC parliamentary candidate for the Hohoe constituency and head of the Covid-19 technical team of the Democratic National Congress who made the presentation on behalf of Mr. Mahama, said the former president had been very active and instrumental in the quest to help the nation. fight the war.
He said the Task Force reinforced the Party flag bearer’s recommendation that there was an urgent need to build medical research centers to support proactive efforts and preparedness for problems like COVID-19.
Professor Kweku said that despite efforts in the health sector, health workers and individuals must adhere to preventive measures, such as washing hands with water from the Veronica and Tippy-Taps buckets in the absence of running water.
