Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim has subtly debunked Thomas Abbey’s reasons for his 2017 MTN FA Cup final against Asante Kotoko.
Former Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey said in an interview with Accra-based radio station Angel FM that his team lost the FA Cup title to rival jurors over unpaid wages.
Abbey said he and his teammates had spent three months without pay and that seven bonuses for winning games were also behind.
Samudeen turned to social media to express his disgust at the comments attributed to Abbey about his inability to lift the trophy.
A hat-trick from Saddick Adams helped Asante Kotoko beat Hearts of Oak 3-1 in the 2017 MTN FA Cup Final.
He said on his official Facebook timeline that the former Ismaily SC is tarnishing the image of the Hearts of Oak players who performed at the match organized in Tamale three years ago.
“I see a single player trying to blur the image of all his colleagues with something they know nothing about ….. Painful World,” wrote Samudeen.
