Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a professor at the Central University, has admonished members of Parliament for their conduct in the Legislative House.

Following a letter written by the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who has resigned from the Appointments Committee of Parliament, there are discussions about what could have led to such a decision by an honorable member of the Committee.

Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa’s letter to the speaker said his decision comes “after days of careful thought and serious consideration.” I would like to point out that the reasons for this difficult decision are both personal and in principle. ”

Discussing the issue of Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo”, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah lamented the behavior of the MPs in the House and considered the actions of some of them unfortunate.

He asked them to be serious about their parliamentary work because their election to the Legislative Chamber is no joke.

“The things that have happened in Parliament are cumbersome. Parliamentary work is not a joke. Someone had been in Parliament but didn’t say a word for the four years. So they have to sit down and do the job well.”
