Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could fire Kurt Zouma after his horrible performance against West Brom. The Frenchman was a regular with Frank Lampard, but playing time with the German has been difficult for him.
Chelsea star Zouma could find himself heading for the starting gate after his dismal performance against West Brom on Saturday.
The Blues were thrashed by the Baggies at Stamford Bridge in a 5-2 loss in one of the shocking results of the season.
And the home side drew blood first through Christian Pulisic before a red card to Thiago Silva turned the game around.
Matheus Pereira scored twice in a row just before the break before a double from Callum Robinson and Mbaye Diagne scored after the break.
There were several players in blue who had horrible performances and one of them was Zouma.
The Frenchman has been frozen by Tuchel in recent weeks with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen preferred.
And he hasn’t done himself any favors with his performance on Saturday, marking a downfall considering his status under Lampard.
With the Chelsea legend at the helm, Zouma became a regular in the starting XI, but now it looks like he will be leaving permanently at the end of the season.
The former St-Etienne star is valued at £ 29 million and has attracted the attention of players like Everton and Leicester in the past.
And Owen Hargreaves also believes the 26-year-old could walk away in the transfer window.
“I think for Chelsea and for Kurt Zouma, I’m not sure he’s doing well after what happened today,” the former England international told Premier League Productions after the game.
“I don’t think I will play many games in the future after today’s performance.”
