Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has named nine local players to his squad for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé next week.
Akonnor had trained with a team dominated by local players for three weeks to prepare for the games.
With the possibility of losing some key players due to coronavirus protocols and some clubs reluctant to publicize their players during the international break, the coach invited a large number of players and decided on only nine for his final team.
Among them are Gladson Awako, Joseph Esso, Ismael Ganiyu, Razak Abalora, Eric Ofori Antwi and Kwame Opoku.
The Black Satellites trio, Danlad Ibrahim, Philemon Baffour and Fatawu Issahaku were able to secure a spot on the team.
Ghana will face South Africa on March 25 in Johannesburg before facing Sao Tome and Principe on March 29.
