Liverpool gave a big advantage in the game against Chelsea, Leicester City and rivals in the top four

Liverpool climbed to sixth place in the Premier League table on Monday night with a 1-0 win over Wolves.

Diogo Jota’s first-half goal secured three points at Molineux, giving Jurgen Klopp’s men a boost in their hopes of securing Champions League football.

Those prospects were boosted by West Ham’s loss to Manchester United, while Everton also lost to Burnley at home.

Chelsea remains the team to reach fourth place, with Thomas Tuchel still undefeated since taking office at Stamford Bridge in late January.

Liverpool have nine games to regain a five-point deficit over their rivals and with that in mind, here is a rundown of the match rosters.

Verdict

Compared to their first four rivals, Liverpool seem to have the easiest match streak left.

The Reds only face one team in the top eight in their last nine games, which is away from Manchester United.

On the contrary, all other teams will play with at least three teams in the top eight, which bodes well for Liverpool, with their rivals hypothetically set to lose points.

Leicester City has the worst streak, Manchester City, West Ham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all to follow in the next two months.

Everton also have a difficult lineup with four of the top eight to play, with Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham all against three.
