The game in Budapest was technically Liverpool’s home match in the round of 16 and theoretically ended their six-game losing streak at home after back-to-back Premier League losses recently.
And with Liverpool struggling to score points at Anfield, Carragher jokingly asked for a request to convert Puskas Stadium into Liverpool’s new stadium.
Sharing a screenshot of the petition on his Instagram story in the ‘What do you want us to do?’ Section, Carragher wrote: ‘Let Liverpool play all the remaining home games this season in Budapest.’
