First Creative Arts Senior High School Nearing Completion – Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo said Tuesday that the first creative arts senior high school, located in Kwadaso in the Ashanti region, is nearing completion.

The president, delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament, said the government had also upgraded five tourist sites to meet international standards to increase visits and created jobs and income for the people.

He said the country continued to benefit from the “Year of Return” as it had stepped up engagement with Africans in the diaspora and with all people of African descent in a more positive way.

“This is in areas such as trade and investment cooperation, and the development of skills and knowledge in what was called ‘Beyond Return.’

President Akufo-Addo said that the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, together with its implementing agency, the Ghana Tourism Authority, are working towards the realization of the initiative, which will bring an even greater focus of attention to Ghana.

He said that a lot of work has been done to renovate the county’s tourist sites and make them attractive.

President Akufo-Addo said that digital revenue collection systems had been installed at Elmina and Cape Coast castles, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Wli Waterfalls.

He said that the new minister, Mr. Ibrahim Awal Mohammed, was determined to strengthen the creative arts industry and that the government would pay more attention to the sector.
