Wendy Shay (R) met Ghanaians after Ebony Reigns (L) passed away in 2018.
To commemorate singer Ebony Reigns’ third year since her passing, her record label, RuffTown Records, released one of her prerecorded songs.
The song titled ‘John 8: 7’ features Wendy Shay, his labelmate.
Ebony, in the song, talks about not paying attention to her enemies and foes. The Dancehall artist said people were critical of her music, outfits, personal life, and more.
She said she’s tired of the trial by now and added “so take a catapult, him no sin stone Ebony.”
She also applauded the people who have supported her despite the criticism.
Ebony would have turned 24 on February 16, 2021.
The nation woke up on February 9, 2018 to the shocking news of the death of the joyful and talented singer, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng.
The 21-year-old was killed in a car accident on the Mankranso Kumasi-Sunyani highway when she was returning from Sunyani, where she had gone to visit her mother.
Ebony was killed along with two others, Frankie Kuri and Lance Cabo Vondee Atsu, who were with her in the vehicle as they traveled to Accra.
A pile of sand found on one part of the two-lane road was reportedly the cause of the accident.
