Manchester City won their first league game at Anfield in 18 years to move 10 points away from champion Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

Alisson’s two errors turned the game decisively in the visitors’ favor, with a sloppy pass that allowed Phil Foden to put Ilkay Gundogan 2-1 before Bernardo Silva grabbed another errant ball, who found Raheem Sterling for finish off City’s third.

Phil Foden was man of the match and completed an excellent display with his team’s fourth to underscore his team’s title credentials and his determination to fight Jurgen Klopp’s men to regain leader status.
