Bristol City Record First Win Of The Season – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Ebony Salmon (far right) has scored five of Bristol City’s nine women’s league goals this season

Bristol City achieved their first Women’s Super League win of the season with a landslide win over Brighton by 10 women.

The hosts led with a brilliant long-range shot from Yana Daniels, and Ebony Salmon made it 2-0 before the break with a serene shot.

Salmon conceded from the penalty spot to extend his lead.

Brighton’s day turned from bad to worse when Kayleigh Green was sent off for a stamp on Daniels in the 68th minute.

Matt Beard’s side remains last, but is now just two points behind Aston Villa and West Ham.

Beard, who is in charge until the end of the season to cover Tanya Oxtoby’s maternity leave, was fired by West Ham earlier this season. The Bristol City side will face West Ham next week.

It could have been an even better day for the hosts and forward Salmon, who turned 20 on Wednesday, as only the post prevented her from completing her hat-trick after Daniels’ corner fell.
