Yannick Bolasie has shared the heartwarming messages Everton captain Seamus Coleman sent him in October.
Yesterday it was confirmed that Bolasie completed a loan to Middlesbrough from the Championship until the end of the season.
But the temporary move effectively ends the 31-year-old’s time with the Blues as his contract with the club runs out in the summer.
Bolasie hasn’t appeared for Everton since 2018 after coming in for £ 25 million two years earlier under Ronald Koeman.
He was also left out of the club’s 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League season.
And after being told he would no longer be involved in Everton’s first team training in October, Coleman sent a message of support to the winger.
He wrote: “I’m sorry you are not training with us.
“Your attitude and application in training was incredible and you were at it every day and it was difficult but enjoyable for me to face you every day. You make me better and prepare me for the ends of the weekend! Never lose your attitude and football can change very quickly ”.
Before another message to Bolasie from Coleman it read: “Likewise, Yala! I will always support you and watch what you do with interest! Nothing has changed, you are the same old player! Keep going.”
Bolasie has also taken to social media to wish Everton all the best after they completed a move to the Northeast.
He wrote on Twitter Thursday night: “My last goodbye.
“All I can say is thank you all for the support you have given me through good times and bad.
“Thanks to all my teammates who always supported and supported me, I wish the club the best and I hope we continue to press.”
In an interview in December, Bolasie claimed that “something is not right” at Everton after being left out of the club’s 25-man squad during the first half of the Premier League season.
He told The Beautiful Game Podcast: “Perception is [ Ancelotti ] He does not think [I’m] good enough. If you don’t, no problem. That’s his opinion, I respect him, he’s a great player.
“I don’t complain, I keep doing my thing, I keep doing my job, I keep supporting the team. But I know something is not right and I don’t know what it is.

“At the end of the day, it takes two to tango. It’s not just me. I’ve worked hard to get to the position I’m in.”
Before continuing: “It’s a bit frustrating, but it’s due to [a long-term injury suffered] two or three years ago. It’s not now I’m in the best shape I was. Every time I come back for preseason I have been [sent] in the sub-23.
“Just tell the truth, right? I’m easy. Tell the truth, okay. Don’t say it’s the skill and stuff, because he takes off the training cameras and starts showing what I’m doing.
“It is not a problem. I am supporting myself and I know it. I know it is not due to my ability. For me, I am not losing sleep. My peace of mind is that I know what I have been doing, giving is my everything.”
