Coach Danijel Mujkanovic shared his thoughts on Medeama’s loss – we are working as hard as possible right now and hopefully we are going to turn it around.
QUESTION: Your impression of the game:
DANI – I feel that it is difficult to lose, I feel that during the first half hour we had the best chances, they had the ball a little more than us but we created two or three great opportunities that we should at least put one in.
They had a great opportunity from a corner before the break. The second half was a bit up and down and all of a sudden I scored on a second ball after a free kick and on the second goal we hit the ball, so it’s disappointing to me that we’re not in a position to not lose focus because lack of concentration gave two easy goals away
We actually fought back and scored one, but from there we didn’t really push, so we had to do some substations and we had no power, so in the end, we lose.
QUESTION: You are at the bottom of the league table, is there any pressure on you?
DANI – There is always a pressure that comes with losing a game, but we are working as hard as possible right now and hopefully we will turn it around.
QUESTION – What do you think is the problem that explains the descent to the relegation zone?
DANI – Right now, many of our players are young, if you look at the four games that I have been in charge, we have had the opportunity to play with the same starting eleven, we have had some injuries and suspensions, today we had to change 3 of 4 of the back and the doorman and we had to do it.
So for me I think we have to get a little more stable where we can play with some of the same players that are supposed to be the team structure and maybe we can change, sometimes, change some players. But now, we’ve been unstable for one or two reasons and we can’t build the structure we want.
QUESTION – Could you also say that you have a problem in the attack?
DANI – It’s no secret that when you look at the table we’ve only scored 4 goals, so of course we have a problem with quality in the last third, I’ve been saying that since I came here. But we are working on that. I think during this week we have been improving in training in that part of the game.
I think we showed especially in the first half, some good accumulations, we went out, we have the quality in the last part, but we are missing the last race that will end, but what can you do? Go out and practice, repeat the same exercises and hopefully you break the point of scoring goals.
Today we did one, maybe in the next game we will do two; I hope so, I can only be optimistic, go out and work with them and hope that we will improve and then the window comes closer, let’s see. We signed an attacker last week, maybe we’ll hire one or two more and then get more quality and a few more players to choose from, and that will make the competition tougher and hopefully they’ll all grow.
