Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained his expectations about the time remaining in the transfer window at Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been working to improve the team for the past few years with Solskjaer at the helm.

And this winter is no different after Amad Diallo signed from Atalanta in a deal that was agreed upon over the summer.

At just 18 years old, the club had a lot in mind for the future, but fans are excited to see the youngster in action.

There has been a lot of fanfare about the teenager, who has been designated as one of the best emerging talents in Europe.

However, what that means for future arrivals remains to be seen, though Solskjaer believes that’s about it for the January transfer window.

“I don’t think so, no,” he said when asked about more signings.

“I would be surprised if we made any innings. The squad is strong. It is full of quality.

“I still have to leave players out of the team sometimes. Unless something surprising happens, I don’t think anything will happen in terms of revenue, no.”

And although the gate could be closed to arrivals, there could still be a series of departures.

Several players have been linked to walkouts, including Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero.

West Ham appear to be close to signing Lingard on loan until the end of the season with David Moyes knowing him well after his time as United manager.

And Rojo is set to join Boca Juniors after being ostracized by Solskjaer this season.

MLS clubs are interested in signing Romero, who was outraged by United’s decision to prevent him from leaving in the summer.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has stated that he believes Diallo can solve his troublesome right-wing position.

“That is his preferred position,” he said. “He’s good at finding space, he can go in and out and he’ll have time to prove he’s the one.

“On the way we have Mason [Greenwood], Marcus [Rashford], Daniel [James], Juan [Mata] and paul [Pogba] He’s played there, so we have options, but I think when you look at the squad and you see Amad and you think, yeah, that’s probably where we’ll work to fit in. “
