After receiving a Complaint from the Referees of the match between Real Tamale United and Nkoranza Warriors FC today, January 25, 2021, the GFA Compliance and Integrity Officer has opened an investigation into the conduct of the Match Commissioner, Ibrahim Fuseini.
The investigation is related to a match of Day 3 of Zone One of Division One of the League played between Real Tamale United FC and Nkoranza Warriors FC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, Tamale.
It is alleged that the Match Commissioner attempted to bribe the referees not to write an accurate report on the incidents that occurred during and after the match.
The GFA Integrity and Compliance Officer is working with GFA prosecutors and other experts on the investigation.
Subsequently, the investigation report would be sent to the corresponding judicial body to adopt the necessary measures.
Meanwhile, the Match Commissioner will not officiate any match until the matter is fully resolved in accordance with the Association Regulations.
