Hearts of Oak has risen to second place in the Ghana Premier League table after a goalless draw with Berekum Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
The phobians faced the opponent of the tenth day today at Berekum Golden City Park to challenge for the three available points.
With a strong starting eleven, Hearts of Oak enjoyed a fair amount of possession in the first half, but failed to take advantage of the few opportunities that presented themselves.
Going into the leveling break, both teams resumed the second half with improved performance to try to score for maximum points.
For the home team, Berekum Chelsea played delicious football in the moments of the second half, but lacked the forefront to hurt the visitors.
Finally, with neither team finding the back of the net at the end of 90 minutes, Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea have shared the spoils with both teams earning one point each.
The latest result sees the Phobians move from fifth to second in the Ghana Premier League table.
However, the capital’s club could be overtaken by Asante Kotoko or Bechem United if the teams win their matches on Sunday.
