President Akufo-Addo, in his quest to form an inclusive government, appointed a person with a disability as one of his lieutenants in the execution of his term in his second term.
Joseph Makubu has been appointed Minister-designate of the Oti region and, when approved by Parliament, he will succeed his predecessor, Nana Kwasi Owusu-Yeboah.
According to sources, Mr. Makubu is a farmer and also the current Secretary General of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) in the region.
Along with other nominees, Mr. Makubu is expected to appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee for review and approval in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the event has been praised by a section of Ghanaians on social media.
