Gospel singer Celestine Donkor says it’s unfortunate that her new single Thank You, which featured secular artists Efya and Akwaboah, is receiving criticism.
According to her, some of the comments that have come after this feature go against the purpose of the Gospel.

Celestine Donkor explained that the message of salvation and being saved by Christ has been spoken again, and yet people are still raising stop signs instead of welcoming others.
His comment comes after some people from the Gospel Fellowship raised objections to his song Thank You.
Many people claimed that Efya and Akwaboah are not associated with gospel music and therefore should not have appeared.
Radio host OB Nartey in an interview with Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM said that he is not impressed with the “open to all” approach to gospel music.
“There are a lot of technicalities in gospel music and for some time now I think we’ve kept lowering the bar by preaching the message ‘open to all. Gospel music is not for everyone. You need to show a clear identity, ”OB Nartey said.
However, Celestine Donkor believes that regardless of the reaction, she will not close her doors to the people for whom gospel music is intended.
“How do you think Akwaboah or Efya when listening to the song that appeared on Christian television channels have refused to play? They will feel very little loved and the Gospel of Christ is about love ”.
Celestine Donkor stated that if love cannot be shown in this way, it will take a while for people to open up.
He urged people to be wary of what they say and the words they use and add “make the gospel enjoyable and attractive to all.”
