Italian Moise Kean has already scored 10 goals for PSG since coming on loan from Everton last season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s first match in charge of Paris St-Germain did not go as planned as the champions lost ground to leader Lyon with a draw at Saint-Etienne.

Romain Hamouma scored the first goal after Idrissa Gueye lost possession on the edge of the PSG area.

Moise Kean tied three minutes later when he turned and fired home from close range.

PSG are now second, three points behind Lyon, who beat Lens 3-2 earlier.

Pochettino’s side edged Lille on goal difference after Christophe Galtier’s men suffered a surprise 2-1 home loss to Angers.

Pochettino, confirmed as Thomas Tuchel’s successor on Saturday, saw PSG dominate possession but struggled to create plenty of clear chances in central France.

On the other hand, Saint-Etienne, seeking to extend its unbeaten streak to seven games, put visiting goalkeeper Keylor Navas to the test with goals from Mathieu Debuchy and Denis Bouanga.

Local goalkeeper Jessy Moulin made a good save to prevent Argentine winger Angel di María and PSG substitute Pablo Sarabia from shooting from close range in injury time.
