The North Akatsi District Assembly says it will launch an investigation into the incident of a crocodile attack on a tourist at Ave Crocodile Resort on Ave Dakpa in North Akatsi District and institute measures to prevent it from happening again.
The assembly said its preliminary investigations show that the incident occurred on December 20, 2020, when a group of local tourists visited the crocodile spa for fun.
The assembly in a statement said: “The tourist guide could not adequately guide the tourist on how she can position herself before touching the crocodile in that moment of emotion,” hence the unfortunate incident.
