Experienced journalist Kwesi Pratt Jnr has revealed that he recently received death threats from someone who spoke “impeccable English”.

Some journalists before and after the December 7 elections have been receiving death threats and attacks from unknown persons.

At the top of the list is Afia Pokua AKA Vim Lady of Even Media, Angel FM morning show host, Captain Smart, investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, and GTV journalist Abdul Hayi Moomen.

Describing the phenomenon as unfortunate, the editor-in-chief of the Insight newspaper, recounted how he also received death threats from a number 0508590799.

“I got a call last week from someone who spoke flawless English and he said that he saw me as the incarnation of the devil and that people like me should be eliminated. He said that he saw me as the devil and that people like me shouldn’t. being alive … was my crime, I just expressed my mind. Even under Emperor Bokassa these things weren’t happening, “he enraged.

Kwesi Pratt, who was contributing to a panel discussion on Panafrican TV’s Good Morning Africa, added: “I have seen personalities sitting on television threatening to kill … they are terrifying and the police have not invited them. The level of impunity it’s shocking; it doesn’t even happen in a banana republic “

Meanwhile, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has tasked the police with dealing with these threats.

“It is vitally important that our law enforcement agencies get to the bottom of these complaints and use all legitimate means at their disposal to unmask the identities of the culprits; whatever their motives; and arrest and prosecute them quickly, ”he said in a tweet.
