– Self-styled prophet of doom also believes a coup attempt is possible in Ghana
The beginning of a new year comes with an avalanche of apocalyptic prophecies, primarily from self-proclaimed men of God predicting deaths, disasters, and dark political events. The last to drop his oracle is the senior pastor of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Isaac Owusu Bempah.
Addressing his parishioners at a service to usher in the New Year, the controversial prophet revealed that a popular and influential king in Ghana will die in 2021. He refused to mention the name of this king for fear of insults and threats against him.

“Now, in 2021 a great king will die, but due to the insults that will be thrown at me, I will not mention his name. But if God tells me to go talk to him, I’ll go, “he revealed.
Owusu Bempah made a total of 20 prophecies. One that stood out was his prediction that Ghana is likely to experience a political coup that will destabilize the country.
The self-proclaimed prophet made this known as part of a flood of prophecies during a sermon on New Years Eve.
Apostle Opoku Nyina is already asking the prophets not to predict the winners of an imminent election. That’s not all, he also wants the prophets to refrain from predicting the death of people.
According to him, such prophecies create tension and retard the party’s growth. He made these comments while delivering a sermon at the NPP Nations Thanksgiving service on the subject, Ebenezer, How Much Has the Lord Helped Us.
“A true prophet must be neutral in knowledge and wisdom so that his prophecies do not cause panic. My plea to our prophets is not to prophesy about why you will die and lose an election. Our duty as prophets must be to bring the face of society to God ”, he affirmed.
In response to him, Owusu Bempah stated that he will continue to prophesy despite caution against such a practice.
The 2020 elections in Ghana have been documented by many political scientists as the most controversial and bloody.
The election results declared by the official returning to the president, Jean Mensa, confirm that John Mahama was unable to obtain 50 votes plus one. The results show that John Mahama got 6,214,889 while Nana Addo got 6,730,413 votes.
The opposition NDC has fiercely rejected the election results. John Mahama has described it as flawed and manipulated. Party supporters have also protested at the Electoral Commission headquarters on several occasions against the results.
Political scientists from the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana argue that forming a parallel government is unconstitutional. Such acts can even trigger treason crimes.
The news director of the newspaper crusader guide says that the results of the presidential and parliamentary elections have been gazette. He believes that only a Supreme Court ruling will be needed to reverse the election results.
