There is no time to relax for Barcelona as it faces a demanding schedule to start 2021.
Their next five matches are all away from the Camp Nou and could be six straight away matches if they reach the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
The first of these matches is LaLiga Santander’s trip to Huesca on Sunday night, ahead of more LaLiga Santander away games at Athletic Club on January 6 and in Granada on January 9.
Then comes the Spanish Super Cup and they will face Real Sociedad in Córdoba on January 13, before a potential final at La Cartuja in Seville on January 17.
Another league trip follows as they will visit Elche on January 24, the day of the club’s elections.
That means that there will be a new president installed the next time the Blaugrana play at the Camp Nou, which will be on January 31 at home against Athletic Club.
This series of road games is especially worrisome for Ronald Koeman’s team as they have struggled on the road this season. From six away games in LaLiga Santander this season, he has only added seven points.
