Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are on the brink of elimination from the CAF Champions League against Sudan’s Al Hilal, but Ghana FA coach Kurt Okraku is confident that the Ghanaian team will be able to pass despite losing the match away at home by a single goal.
The Porcupine Warriors have been fighting in the current campaign that led to the firing of head coach Maxwell Konadu.
The team was poor in their CAF Champions League match against the Sudanese team as they dominated the game in both halves and snatched a vital point before the second leg.
With the Porcupine Warriors facing an uphill task to beat the Sudanese giants in their own backyard, Kurt Okraku is optimistic that the Ghanaian giants can change the outcome and secure qualification.
“Kotoko is not out of the CAF Champions League”
“It is not over for Asante Kotoko SC, I have seen Kotoko go through so many battles where they have fallen and have been able to come back” And to achieve the goal for them, “said Kurt.
“I have no doubt in my mind, Kotoko will cheer up with the deficit and come out with a good mental disposition, with hope and believe that they can do it”
“And I’m sure that when these guys come together they can bring us victory.” We are behind the team, after all it is Ghana ”.
“Believe me, they won’t say Asante Kotoko but Ghana”
The return leg is scheduled for Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Sudan.
