A Ghana Education Service staff at the New Juaben South Municipal Education Directorate in the Eastern Regional Capital has been found dead in their office.
The deceased, identified as Jerry Azaglo, was the deputy coordinator of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET), he was found dead while sitting in his chair.
Concerned that her husband had not returned home from work by 8:00 pm, the deceased’s wife went to his workplace that night to ask the security man in his office about her husband’s whereabouts.
Subsequently, the security man did a search of all the offices only to find Mr. Azaglo’s office unlocked. Curiously, he turned on the light and found the man sitting motionless in his chair.
The security man quickly informed his superiors who reported the incident to the police.
Police personnel from the Koforidua District Police Command arrived at the scene and after making inventories, they took the immobile body to the hospital where it was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The cause of death is currently being investigated, however the information collected indicates that the deceased had an underlying medical condition.
