Didi Hamann has claimed that Kingsley Coman would be a perfect potential addition if Liverpool wanted to buy a new winger at some point.
The Frenchman, scorer of the winner in this year’s Champions League final, has been breaking up with Bayern Munich this season, and has also done business in Europe.
Hamann acknowledges that the 24-year-old could be an idea if Mo Salah looks for new pastures, which we obviously hope won’t happen imminently, and we don’t think it will.
“Two of the best wingers in the world are [Serge] Gnabry, who was at Arsenal, and Kingsley Coman, is running amok at the moment, “he said. Astro Stadium.
“Would they want to leave Bayern Munich? I don’t think so but you don’t know.
“I don’t know if there is something in Salah giving an interview or wanting to go to Spain. If you want to leave, Barcelona and Madrid would be interested.
“If a player wants to leave, you have to let him go. If you have the desire to leave, you will likely do so in the summer.
“There is a fantastic talent in Germany and France. I think they will have a list.
“For me, the best winger at the moment is Kingsley Coman.
“He had injury problems when he arrived in Munich, but he got fit and scored the winning goal in the Champions League final.
“He has two feet, he’s fast, he’s very smart, he makes great decisions and his finish has improved a lot.
Coman is the player. Bayern Munich are not interested in losing him, they are happy.
“If Salah moves, if he wants to do it, it’s very likely, that will have a ripple effect. Liverpool will have to buy someone. Whoever signs, that team will need to buy a replacement. Things happen quickly. “
We imagine Coman is on a list of potentially elite signings, which includes players like Serge Gnabry, Jadon Sancho and the most ambitious of them all: Kylian Mbappé.
However, as we’ve always said at EOTK, we want to win a lot more trophies with our current front line before we start replacing them.
Diogo Jota was a wonderful addition this summer, and will allow Jurgen Klopp to rotate much more easily once he is back in shape.
The Portugal international scored nine goals before his injury and still has two more than Sadio Mane for the season.
