Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday in Us in the North Asutifi District of the Ahafo Region, Barima Ampim III said that all Ghanaians living in the jurisdiction of a traditional authority should lend a helping hand. to the government and religious groups.
“The government alone cannot do everything it can to transform the nation, therefore the contribution of all Ghanaians is essential and that can best be achieved through the vigorous and continuous participation of traditional and religious leaders.” , said.
According to Barima Ampim III, traditional and religious leaders have high regard and the highest respect among the people.
On that basis, he urged the chiefs to use their influence to impact peace and national progress in order to curb illegal activities that could derail national progress.
He said traditional leaders must strengthen their roles in support of the government’s fight against illegal mining and chainsaw operations to protect the environment.
Barima Ampim III called on religious leaders to campaign against the moral degeneration of society to guarantee the country responsible future leaders.
