The chairman of the New Patriotic Party Review Committee for the 2020 elections, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, says the committee found that the party lost several seats due to various internal disputes.
According to him, several MMDCEs were undermining parliamentary candidates in their constituencies, while some were also rigorously campaigning against deputies.
“There were many internal frictions. Many district chief executives, municipal chief executives were undermining parliamentary candidates and were even campaigning against them, ”he admitted.
The Chief Minister indicated that with the work carried out by the Committee so far, some of these District Chief Executives and Municipal Chief Executives who worked against the party have been identified.
He indicated that none of the MMDCE that campaigned against their deputies does not have any business working for the party and added that being district executive heads has no business either.
“They will definitely have to be expelled, definitely any DCE that they deem worthy of campaigning against their parliamentary candidate has no right to represent the party in the District,” he said in an interview with Accra-based Joy News. by MyNewsGh.com.
