The government has been urged to expand its purchase of the Kantanka range of vehicles to allow the local automaker to further expand and create job opportunities.
Omanhene from the traditional Kumawu area, Barima Safo Tweneboah Kodua, said that when the government expands the purchase of the vehicles, it could institute a plan for teachers, nurses and other professionals to purchase the vehicles for rent.
“I am impressed with what Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has done and I am very happy about that and I think the government needs to support him by all possible means,” the supreme chief said in a Daily Graphic story.
Barima Tweneboah Kodua made the comment on the sidelines of the 40th Kristo Asafo Technology Expo held last Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Accra.
“The event featured the exhibition of some vehicles and articles manufactured by the group during the last 40 years.
“It was on the theme: ‘Positioning the Church in nation-building: solving social problems through religion, science and technology,'” according to the Daily Graphic report.
The local automaker donated one of its trucks to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to bolster its vehicle fleet.
The CEO of the Kantanka Group of Companies, Mr. Kwadwo Safo Jr, said that the company’s definition of a transformative mindset began with the belief that you could achieve anything you set out to do.
