Dr Okoe Boye, a former member of Parliament from Ledzokuku constituency, says he is committed to making the world and his constituency a better place with or without the early support of his constituents.
This comes after his friends within the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP), the deputy director of communications, Afia Akoto and Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, a member of the presidential staff, made some “nasty comments” disparaging Ledzokuku voters for vote out of your deputy.
“It’s okay to be disappointed in the results, but there is no need to be discouraged. It’s okay to be sad momentarily, but you don’t need to be bitter.
“These are my people and I am their son. I am committed to making the world a better place and that commitment will remain secure with or without my anticipated support, ”said Dr. Okoe Boye.
Nii Teiko Tagoe wondered if people in the constituency expected to continue to enjoy their medical consultations for free after voting for him, while Afia Akoto described them as having “backward behavior”.
“So my people from Teshie who voted for Dr. Bernard Okeo Boye, will they still go to LEKMA on Mondays so that Okoe Boye himself will see them for free? You let me finish here before the ‘s’ leaves my mouth, ”Nii Teiko Tagoe said.
In response to that post, Afia Akoto wrote: “Don’t be ashamed brother. Did you know that last week some went there just to see if it was really close? Behavior behind ”.
Dr Okoye Boye, unhappy with the attacks on Teshie’s people, has urged his friends at the nuclear power plant to exercise restraint with their comments.
“I have read some news in the media seeking to draw attention to some nasty comments from friends within NPP, towards my Ledzokuku people.
“I would like to urge all those who are hurt by my inability to retain the seat to exercise restraint in expressing an opinion on the recent parliamentary elections in Ledzokuku,” his Facebook post read.
Adding that, “when the game gets tough, the best way out is to tie your boots and not be so busy with your opponent’s attitude.
