A former propaganda secretary and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lord Hamah, says that agents from the party’s polling station left the polling stations to rejoice when it was announced that the party was leading the parliamentary elections.
He believes that there is no vanguard organization in the NDC and that spelled doom for the political party in the elections just ended.
Lord Hamah indicated that other than not staying until the collation was over, some NDC polling officers could not even spell their names; a reason they lost.
He believes that the NDC should rather audit the character and competence of its survey agents and not the EC.
His statement read: “When there is no vanguard organization, any political party is doomed. On the night of December 7, 2020, the masses marched in jubilation when told that they had secured parliamentary victory in their individual constituency. They dropped out of their polling stations. In an unnecessary joy without constructive essence. The PNP activists stayed. Whatever happens, I don’t know. But let me tell you that many of the NDC agents could not spell their own names. They allowed counting. The NDC has no case. It should audit the character and competence of its electoral agents and not the EC ”.
