Serbian strategist Kosta Papic has revealed that he accepted the opportunity to coach Hearts of Oak for the second time because he wants to win the Ghana Premier League and help the team fight for glory in the CAF Champions League.
The seasoned strategist was in charge of the Phobians during the 2008/2009 season and led the team to lift the Premier League title.
After nearly two decades, Hearts of Oak has reappointed Kosta Papic to help end a long trophy drought that continues to haunt the club.
Speaking to Fox FM about what prompted his return to the capital-based club, the coach has opened up the desire to win the best trophies with the team.
“What brought me back to Hearts of Oak was winning the league and possibly the CAF Champions League.
“I think the team has the capacity to do that and we are working on it, it is not easy but we will fight for it,” shared Kosta Papic.
Since taking over as head coach at Hearts of Oak, the team has recorded two wins, one draw and one loss in four games.
