Christmas is about giving and fun, and for North Tongu Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, he has chosen to fully express his Christmas spirit by giving people with disabilities to commemorate the day.
He is handing out wheelchairs as part of a Christmas project aimed at replacing all the rickety and worn wheelchairs for all the physically disabled in his bonded area.
According to him, the gift will not only help change some lives but also reiterate the very essence of Christmas.
A tweet shared on Friday December 25th read: “Our North Tongu Christmas project this year is to send free wheelchairs to all the physically disabled and to replace all the rickety wheelchairs of my dear constituents. Showing compassion for the vulnerable is the height of Christmas. Merry Christmas my friends. “
It will not be the first time that Okudzeto Ablakwa shows compassion and offers philanthropic help to his constituents.
The North Tongu deputy, after being declared an elected deputy for the third time in the December 7 elections, paid a visit to the children’s ward of the Battor Catholic Hospital in his constituency to take care of all the medical bills of those who receive Attention.
