Experienced journalist, Kweku Baako Jnr. has shared his opinion in a recording that allegedly indicates that the president of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa, pronounced the former president and presidential candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, president-elect in the 2020 presidential elections.

A video has emerged showing the EC president saying that the former president had won the elections, although he declared President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the winner of the elections.

The Electoral Commission issued a statement denouncing the video, emphasizing that it has been manipulated since the declaration of the EC president on the victory of President Akufo-Addo in the elections was televised throughout the country for each and every one.

Commenting on the issue during Wednesday’s “Kokrokoo” program on Peace FM, Mr. Baako expressed his disgust at the video.

He claimed the video is fake but added that it has dangerous repercussions.

He added that “this false video, although it is a useless thing, may have some value for some agitation that some people have decided to mount incessant and implacable”, but he emphatically assured the opposition Democratic National Congress that “this is not the Third Republic where at Under cover of darkness, they stole our mandate. ”
