Pioneer Food Cannery in Tema has resumed, albeit partially after it closed for three weeks when 533 of its workers tested positive for coronavirus disease.

An internal memo signed by the company’s plant manager Johnny Ladouce on May 9 for all workers announced that the factory would resume partial production, effective yesterday, after the complete disinfection of its plants, as well as self quarantine. of staff who came into contact with confirmed cases.

Some officials who were contacted declined to comment on the new deal, rather asking journalists to leave their questionnaires so they can respond after the meeting.

Later in the afternoon, a team of contact trackers from the Tema Metropolitan Health Directorate was seen taking samples from some of the workers.
