Gifty Frimpong, a 24-year-old student at Cape Coast University School of Medicine, has been ordained a minister of the Gospel in the Assemblies of God Church.
His ordination comes days after completing an intensive four-year study at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, South Campus in Kormantse in the Central Region. She is the youngest person to be ordained a minister in the church.
As part of her ministry effort, Pastor Gifty Frimpong is expected to undergo a year of service at the Assemblies of God Church of Jehovah Jireh at Adenta Japan Motors near Lakeside Estates in preparation for future work.
Sacrifices
Addressing graduate students during the ceremony, the Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Ghana, the Rev. Professor Paul Frimpong Manso, recognized the sacrifices that both teachers and students had made over the years, especially in 2020.
Despite the challenges, he has weathered the fierce storm to graduate. As ambassadors for the gospel, they have been trained and equipped with everything they need for a successful ministry.
“The seminar has given him a broad enough knowledge to allow him to adapt to a wide range of real-life ministerial situations,” he said.
The Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso admonished the graduates to prepare for the ups and downs, but encouraged them not to deny their resolve to live blamelessly in the service of Christ Jesus.
“I can promise you that you will never get lost or get in trouble with any authority as long as you stay within the context of Scripture.
“Some of you will start your ministerial work from scratch. Others may be assigned to existing churches, and yet some of you will help your senior ministers.
“Some of you will pitch your tents in urban centers and others in rural areas. Wherever they are, I expect nothing but the best in their respective endeavors, ”said the superintendent.
The Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso also urged graduate ministers to desist from unnecessary comparison and competition and not to follow charlatans.
“I mean the fetish priests and magicians of today who parade and pose through the streets as prophets of God. Be true and honest men and women of God and not 419 ‘God of man’ “, he emphasized.
Challenges
The seminary president, the Rev. John Kwabena Boachie, for his part, said that one of the ministerial challenges of the end time was how some servants presented themselves as emperors and kings.
He said that such ministers ruled as lords over the flocks that God had entrusted to them.
In a statement at the ordination ceremony, Pastor Frimpong thanked God for the blessing and protection that was given to her through the four-year training.
“I thank God for his gift of life and his mercy on my life. I am determined to win more souls for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God ”, she affirmed.
The lead pastor of the Assemblies of God Church of Jehovah Jireh, the Reverend Dr. Joyce Frimpong, who is also Gifty’s mother, said she made a promise to God that if Gifty would be protected from her childhood stage to adulthood, he would offer it to God. to serve you in all the days of your life.
“So Gifty has deepened her relationship with God as she begins to serve Him and win souls for His Kingdom,” he noted.
