After being awarded the Atlético de Madrid Player of the Month award in November, Yannick Carrasco is eager to turn his attention to future matches.
The 2020/21 schedule has been ruthless with players and coaches, with almost every team having to negotiate two matches per week.
That being said, Atlético de Madrid are enjoying a good season and are looking to win the national title again, something the Belgian winger is focused on.
“We are prepared to compete every three days,” Carrasco explained in an interview organized after claiming the player of the month award from Mahou.
“This team is very strong physically. We will not have breaks and it will be a very long campaign, but we are prepared.”
Elche is the next for Diego Simeone’s charges and the winger believes that it will be a unique test for Los Rojiblancos.
“It will be a very difficult game,” he said.

“We have worked well and we will get to this game in the best possible conditions. We want to try to win.”
He also had a word of thanks for the fans who had voted him player of the month.
“Thank you very much to the fans for giving me this award,” he added.
“I always try to do what is best for the team and for the club.
“It is difficult to get an award like this without the help of the team. I will try to continue this streak and I hope that the fans can continue to enjoy it.”
