Legon Cities suffered their third loss of the season at the hands of Ebusua Dwarfs to continue to perish at the end of the league record.

The Accra-based team injected a lot of money into recruiting players ahead of the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League.

The league’s biggest signing was made by the Royals when they signed Asamoah Gyan for a fee of around $ 250,000 a year.

However, the signings of big names have not translated into positive results, having lost three games and drawn three in six games.

Their head coach was fired after they suffered a 3-0 loss to the Grand Olympics and was replaced by Bashir Hayford, but it has yet to pay off.

Hayford has yet to turn the club’s fortunes, as they lost back-to-back games.

The dwarfs who were poor travelers last season stormed the Accra Sports Stadium and beat the hosts 1-2 on Friday.

Benjamin Acquah recorded two goals in the 15th and 32nd minutes before Legon Cities cut the deficit through Joseph Adjei.

The team management was reportedly enraged and ordered the team bus to drop off the players at the stadium.

Asamoah Gyan did not participate in the game because he was injured.

Legon cities are currently languishing at the bottom of the league record with three points.
