The pressure continues to mount on Mikel Arteta, after Arsenal fell to another defeat at home over the weekend.
Burnley inflicted the Gunners’ fourth consecutive loss at the Emirates, who continued their worst start to the season since 1974/75.
Arteta’s team have already lost seven times this season and find themselves abandoned in the lower half of the Premier League table.
It was another blank for Arsenal’s attacking force against the Clarets, with their 10-goal tally the worst of any team outside of the last four.
Despite this, it is believed that Arteta still has the support of the club’s board and owner Stan Kroenke.
However, given their poor start to the season, Arsenal have been linked to a number of potential January transfer deals.
So here is the latest news on transfers from the Emirates as speculation continues to circulate.
Arsenal aim for £ 27m Porto star
Fabio Vieira has become a shock target for Arsenal, and the club is reportedly ‘positioned’ to strike a £ 27 million deal.
The 20-year-old only made his professional debut for the Portuguese giants in June after impressing for his B team.
The midfielder has been touted as a potential star for the future and Record via Sport Witness claims the Gunners are on the run.
They suggest that Pini Zahavi is one of the agents representing the young man and has strong connections with the heads of the Emirates.
Vieira has a £ 27 million release clause and while a move in January may be too early, they are said to be interested in a summer raid.
Edu drops Ozil’s track
Edu, the Arsenal boss, has suggested that Arsenal are trying to reach a deal with outcast Mesut Ozil.
The German international has been left out of Mikel Arteta’s Premier League and Europa League squads despite being the highest-earning club.
However, Edu has now claimed that they have had initial conversations with Ozil as he appears to be leaving at the end of the season.
Edu said: “I spoke to him, Mikel spoke to his agent, I spoke to his agent about some possibilities, not fights, just some things to try to help each other. The way we see his future at the club, the way we see it here. It is quite clear.
“What makes me feel comfortable, that we deal with the situation, man to man, nobody hides anything, and Mikel explained a lot to them.”
Saliba offered January departure
Arsenal are ready to grant their wish to William Saliba and allow him to leave the club on loan next month.
Similar to Ozil, Arteta opted to leave Saliba out of his Europa League and Premier League teams, leaving him leftover until January at least.
Saliba has appeared twice for the Under-21s at the EFL Trophy, and his most recent appearance ended with a red card against AFC Wimbledon.
Sky Sports reports that the Gunners will allow the 19-year-old to get a loan to find regular first team football.
Reports have suggested the Frenchman would prefer to advance to the championship, although former club Saint Etienne is interested.
