I am appalled at the comments emanating from so-called New Patriotic Party members who seek to subject NDC members to verbal attacks.

His reason is that the NDC did not accept the “fictitious election results” and wants to participate in any legitimate means to get the right thing done.

It is very difficult for me to understand this kind of reaction. Have you used incumbency to participate in tyrannical acts, tortured so many citizens and still want to dictate how and where they should cry? Is it the case of cutting guilt or is it the case of outright abuse of power?

The NDC is a law-abiding political party. It is the party that proudly gave birth to this democracy that we enjoy today. Our respect for the law does not make us a group of shy people. It is our commitment to peaceful coexistence. That is the reason why we have not taken the laws into our own hands.

Mass demonstrations and protests are legitimate tools allowed in any democratic regime. Anyone who chooses to insult NDC members because they seek to use those democratic instruments to get all concerned to hear their problems is obviously selling their ignorance and forcing passersby to buy them. It is this ignorance that is destroying our country and not those who insist on their fundamental human rights guaranteed in the 1992 constitution and the Charter of the United Nations.

Clearly, the PNP is the beneficiary of these crooked and fraudulent electoral results and for that they can applaud the EC for the theft, but isn’t it a shame that the Electoral Commission announces results, then comes to make correction and since then has been altering the same? on your website? Imagine that the NPP were the final recipient of this comedy of errors, will you accept it? Let’s be a little honest in the interests of growth and prosperity of our country.

The commission led by Jean Mensa is not smart enough, the reason why they have announced their guilt to the whole world. Did you tabulate a result whose total percentage exceeded 100% and now, every time you seek to correct, you expose yourself even more, and yet you want the people of Ghana to remain silent? Nobody owns this country than the other!

An election in which innocent citizens were assassinated by intimidating military officers under the command of President Akufo-Addo, just to snatch some seats from the incumbent cannot be peaceful, free, fair and transparent. The NPP and its greedy power abusers think it is normal for people to die so that they can have another chance to practice stealing from their family and friends. It is nothing short of evil and will remain one of the darkest points in the annals of our political history.

We all know that the PNP government embraced this agenda from the opposition and began to execute it after gaining power in 2016. The reason, former electoral commissioner Charlotte Osei, was removed from office for some flimsy reasons.

Today, as we speak, the seven commissioners are designated individuals to execute the PNP agenda. I personally gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they would care about the interest of this nation. Time has proven me wrong! They have been used like crayons! They compromised the conscience through the stomach and brought a hitherto enviable democratic dispensation to its knees.

Today they tell us that their inability to get their numbers right is competition. They say his blatant refusal to heed a petition to the largest opposition party is impartial. Today they think that electoral results are not won at the voting table but at the EC office and that is transparency. Today when people are shot dead by the military, they say it is free from violence. Unfortunately, posterity rolls slowly.

I love the great NDC for always upholding peace, equality and justice. A power of brute force is a power without dignity. It is a power that does not reflect the sacred mandate of the people!

I want to thank the NDC fraternity for their resilience and strength. I’m also proud that the NDC is not up to arms. I hope that, in the interest of Ghana, we will use all legitimate means to expose the faces behind the stolen mandate. There are so many legitimate avenues that we can use.

Those who think they can think for us are showing signs of frustration, discomfort because we are emerging from their dictatorship traps. The saying that if the gods kill you, they drive you crazy first is true. Panic reactions are obvious. I urge the NDC leadership to explore all legitimate means to address our complaints.

May the souls of the deceased, those who were brutally murdered to give power to someone, rest in perfect peace. Amen

A voice of conscience
