Wolves Stun Chelsea With Latest Winner – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Score, Results

[ad_1]

Pedro Neto’s goal, at 94 minutes and 39 seconds, was the last winning goal in a Premier League match against Chelsea since Opta began recording exact times in 2006-07.

Pedro Neto scored a winning goal in added time as Wolves rallied for a dramatic victory and prevent Chelsea from reaching the top of the Premier League.

Daniel Podence had leveled in the second half after Olivier Giroud put the Blues ahead.

The Portugal forward tiptoed past the Chelsea defense before goalkeeper Edouard Mendy missed with a shot that strayed from Reece James.

It came after Giroud’s fierce volley from a Ben Chilwell cross slipped through Rui Patricio’s gloves to open the scoring for the visitors.

Neto was denied a late penalty to the hosts after referee Stuart Attwell reviewed his original decision on the courtside monitor and judged that Reece James was not at fault against the Wolves forward.

But the 20-year-old broke away in the 95th minute and fired a low strike into Mendy’s far corner to give the Wolves just their second win in six games.

It’s a second loss in a row for Chelsea after being beaten at Everton on Saturday, and Frank Lampard’s team again missed a chance to reach the top of the table.
