The outgoing Adentan Constituency MP has challenged the opposition NDC to challenge the outcome of the 2020 Supreme Court elections if they have the evidence to back up their claims of electoral misconduct.
Yaw Buaben Asamoa asked the NDC to submit data to support its claims of a stolen verdict.
“The NDC must produce data that shows that they have won an election. We don’t win an election with our mouths, ”said Buaben Asamoa. JoyNews Monday.
The comment is in response to various allegations made by the NDC against the EC of having colluded with the PNP to rig the 2020 elections in favor of the ruling party.
However, Yaw Buaben Asamoa has denied the claims.
He affirmed that the PNP’s “decisive victory” in the December elections is proof that the PNP kept its promises in the period during its first term.
“That is the second most decisive victory in history and there is no doubt about his excellence the victory of the president. We are here for the long term, the Ghanaians have accepted us and decided that it is we who can run the country in the right way, ”he said.
In addition, he warned Mr. Mahama and the NDC against condemning state institutions, especially the Election Commission.
“You don’t trample the institutions of the state and you expect those institutions to accept your authority.
“If they are condemning all the institutions; the media, the Supreme Court and every institution, over whom are they going to rule? What instruments will they trust to execute their parallel government?
“He’s too naked and I think it’s important that the NDC go to the ultimate Supreme Court if they have any doubts and the Supreme Court will act on the evidence,” he added.
