Accra Hearts of Oak were simply unstoppable on Sunday when they faced Dreams FC in a matchday five match, as they outscored their opponents to win 3-0 at the Accra sports stadium.

Michelle Sarpong scored a double, following a Kwadwo Obeng Junior opener to give Hearts of Oak their first win of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Hearts coach Kosta Papic took over his first game since his appointment and the Serbian made four changes to the starting lineup.

Michelle Sarpong had her first chance of the game against the run, but her powerful low shot went through the goal. Hearts of Oak’s first scorer, Obeng Junior, hit the crossbar from inside the box with a left-footed shot.

His hard work finally paid off in the 38th minute when he shot wonderfully into the bottom corner to finish off a counter from the left side of Hearts of Oak’s attack.

Patrick Razak stole the ball from Issah Yakubu, stepped into the box and released Obeng down the right to push home.

Dreams FC should have taken the lead from the start, but Issah Ibrahim, who went unmarked inside the box, headed wide after a delightful corner kick that went down the left wing.

Hearts of Oak was forced to make a trade at 30th Minute after Manaf Umar replaced Ansah Botchway, who suffered an injury.

In the 35th minute, Dantani Amadu hit the side net with a Dreams FC free kick.

Back from recess, Michell Sarpong doubled Hearts of oak’s lead in the 48th minute to put Dreams FC in an unstable situation.

Dawu’s team started the game with two of their best players Joseph Esso and Emmanuel Ocran in their lineup.

The two players were brought in later in the second half, but that had nothing to do with the team, as Hearts of Oak stole the show with some brilliant demonstrations from Obeng Junior, Patrick Razak and Michelle Sarpong.

The defenders of Dreams FC were caught sleepwalking and paid dearly for that shock defense.

The game was over in 89th Minute when Michelle Sarpong headed home from close range to score her double, third for Accra Hearts of Oak on the night.

Dreams FC have not won a match since their second matchday, 2-1 win against Medeama SC at the Dreams Theater.
